Golden Rice Krispies

1 cup (2 sticks) of unsalted butter
2 bags of mini marshmallows
3 cups of Golden Graham cereal
3/4 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of salt
5 1/2 cups of rice Krispies
Line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper. Lightly spray with nonstick spray.
Set aside 2 cups of mini marshmallows
Place golden Grahams in a zip lock bag and use a rolling pin to smash Grahams into little pieces. (Don't over crush- Some should be the size of Krispies and others a little larger.)
In a large pot melt butter over medium heat (save wrapper to press mixture into pan). Once the butter melts, it will bubble and eventually turn a dark golden color and smell nutty. Once butter is browned, remove the pot from heat and add in the remaining marshmallows, vanilla, and salt.
Place the pot over low heat and mix well, until marshmallows are completely melted. Remove from heat and add in crushed golden grams and rice Krispies. Using a rubber spoon, stir until combined. Add reserved marshmallows and stir until they are softened and partially melted (you want pockets of goo).
Transfer mixture to prepared dish, using butter wrapper, gently press the mixture into an even layer. Cool at room temperature for an hour.
